Outlook is part of Microsoft suite and can be used with your Midphase website’s email address. This article will help you set up an email account for your website in Outlook.
Step 1: Create An Email Account In CHI
Log into your CHI control panel by going to chi.yourdomain.com.
Sign in with your email and password.
Click on the “Domains” tab, as seen below.
4. Click on the domain for which you would like to create an email.
5. Click “Add A New Email”.
6. Create a username and password.
Step 2: Add Your Email Account In Outlook
Open the Outlook application.
Open the “File” tab.
Click “Add Account”.
Select “Manually configure server settings or additional server types”.
On the next screen, select “Internet E-mail” and click “Next”.
On the following screen enter the necessary personal information:
Your Name: First and last name
E-Mail Address: The email address you created in step 1
Account Type: POP3
Incoming mail server: chimail.midphase.com
Outgoing mail server: chimail.midphase.com
Username: The full email including @yourwebsite
Password: The password you created in CHI
Click “More Settings”.
Navigate to the “Outgoing Server” tab, and check the box next to “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication”.
Navigate to the “Advanced” tab. Set the Incoming server to 110 and the Outgoing server to 587.
Tick the box “Leave a copy of the message on the server”.
Click “OK”.
Click “Next”.
Finally, click “Finish”.
Outlook will run a couple of tests and then create the account. You will then be directed to your inbox.
