What Is CHMOD


CHMOD is the change mode command, which is only used on UNIX systems. It changes or sets the permission of a file or a directory. You can change permissions on a file through an FTP program or you can also make these changes with our File Manager available in cPanel. Typical Permissions: 755 for directories 644 for files.
