What Is The MX Record - Mail Exchange

The Mail Exchange Record is part of the zone file and is used to designate which mail server machine should process email for a specific domain. This means you can have your website on one server and have the email for the domain delivered to another. This may be useful if you have your own mail server or if you wanted to host your website on our servers, but have Google Apps handle your email.

You can edit and add MX records for your domain through cPanel. You can also contact support at https://www.midphase.com/contact.php to have us edit your DNS records for you.

Please note: for this process to be effective, your domain must be using our name servers.

Many clients have their email and website hosted with Midphase on the same server, and configuring your MX record is as easy as purchasing hosting with Midphase and then setting up your email addresses.
