What Should My FTP Settings Be For An Addon Domain

This article contains information about FTP settings for add-on domains.

Once you have set up your addon domain and created an FTP user through your account's cPanel, enter the settings listed below to connect.

Host: ftp.yourdomain.com

Username: user@yourdomain.com

Password: password you created for the user

Directory: /

You can always use the main FTP account and publish to the addon domain's document root. It is important to know that when you connect using your main cPanel username and password, this will connect you to the home directory for your main cPanel / FTP account. By default, when you create an addon domain, it will create the domain name's folder inside of your public_html directory.
