What Is A Firewall

Firewall is a combination of hardware and software that separates a LAN into two or more parts for security purposes. Our firewall acts as a filter of what ports and IP addresses are allowed to connect to the server. If you have software that needs an unusual port open, then you may have to contact support about opening up that port in the firewall.
